Review: Smashbox - Full Exposure Mascara (in Jet Black)

*Warning: This review contains the most raving I have ever done about a mascara ever.*

Hello my Dears

Smashbox's Full Exposure Mascara in "Jet Black" has most recently been added to my mascara rotation thanks to the US Swap I did with Sandy Noemy.

I've got the trial size and all I can say this mascara completely blew me away!

This is how Smashbox sums up what can be achieved with their Full Exposure Mascara:

"Inspired by the on-set technique of layering a lengthening fiber mascara over a volumising formula, our new studio-tested mascara exposes your longest, fullest lashes. No clumps, no flakes. Just maximum-impact, scene-stealing lashes."

I absolutely adore their formula as it gives me amazing length and separation .

This mascara comes with a classic, big bristle brush which I love as this is my preferred style of brush.

One coat already gives me a beautiful defined look and if I hadn't read it in the product description it would never have occurred to me that the mascara contained fibers to lengthen lashes as I normally stay clear of such mascaras to avoid contact lense issues.

What I love most is that when I apply one or two coats of this mascara it lenthens and volumises my lashes in such a way that if I didn't know I was wearing mascara, I wouldn't be able to tell - it looks that natural.

On my lashes there is absolutely no clumping and it coats every single lash beautifully.

It just looks so natural (but gorgeously so!)!

Once applied and dried it lasted well on my lashes, the jet black colour didn't fade and I had no crumbling or flaking issues throughout the day.

In fact I love it so much that I will re-purchase it immediately once I have finished the trial size.

(This is saying something by the way as it retails at £18 at Boots and I normally try to stick to a drugstore/highstreet price point for mascaras as I phase them out every eight weeks or so to avoid contact lense issues.)

The only thing left to say is I have found my
"Holy Grail
higher end mascara!

(What I need to do now is to find a highstreet/drugstore equivalent/dupe)

Can you recommend a highstreet/drugstore dupe?

Thanks so much for reading this post and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

    1. You have got to try it - it makes my lashes look much longer but doesn't look like I'm wearing mascara at all (really quite astonishing)!
