Why?

I do love me a high shine gloss which gives my lip just a subtle bit of healthy pink colour - enhancing my lip colour rather than masking it.

One coat of the Clinique Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss is enough to achieve a brilliant, super shiny finish.

And whilst this comes in at £16 for 15ml, it does last extremely well for a gloss on me (I'm quite good at making glosses disappear...) and I'd say I can get away with re-applying this gloss every two hours or so if I want to maintain my beautifully shiny lips throughout the day.

LOTD/Lip of the Day - Astor Heidi Color Last VIP lipstick in "002 Sweety" & Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in "Cosmic"

And this is what this particular combo looks like:

Why?

I fancied a neutral lip with a high shine finish this morning so I decided to amp up the shine of my Heidi Color Last VIP lipstick in 002 Sweety by topping it with my Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in "Cosmic".

Application-wise I layered the "Sweety" over a sweep of my favourite transparent Maybelline Babylips for some extra moisture.  I then applied just one layer of "Sweety" and went over it with "Cosmic".  I focused my lipgloss application on the centre of my bottom lip and my cupid's bow to create an illusion of fullness.

And without much ado I give you my lip of the day!

Catrice Pure Shine Lip Color Balm "I don't Red it"

Why?

Ever since I got this lovely lip color balm in Germany two weeks ago, it has been a staple for a quick pop of colour which lifts the skin tone with its "I just ate some cherries" shade and the added benefit of it keeping my lips moisturised and supple!
