My bank balance not quite stretching to the lovely Valentino version, I was really happy to spot this take on the trend at non other than the George@asda website!

This version is knitted with a simple white collar and currently available in sizes 12 - 18 (sizes 8 and 10 are already sold out) and it is retailing at £16!
It has two pockets on the front of the dress and is 33ins/84cms long.
And this is what the website says about their chic offering:
"For a super chic ‘60s London feel, you can’t go past this monochrome mod design. The fine-knit dress has subtle panels, front pocket detail, and is finished with a striking collar."
Mine arrived earlier this week and looks exactly like the picture.
Lengthwise it comes down to about a hand width above my knees (5.8 tall) and I think it would complement an hourglass shape as well as a petite or more boyish frame.
I'm planning on wearing mine with opaque tights and black ballet flats and knee high flat boots for when it gets colder.
What designer-inspired good value fashion have you spotted this season?
