Catrice Haul - Liquid Metal Eyeshadows: Swatches & First Impressions (Part 2: Eye Products 1)

And here is a little recap of what I got from Catrice (and I'm still super excited about it):

Liquid Metal Eyeshadows

The liquid metal eyeshadows have just been launched and I was very excited to be able to swatch some and pick a couple - well, two (9 are available overall) - out to take home to play with.

They are retailing for €3.99.

This is what the blurb says about the product:

"Colours with high pigmentation for an extraordinary metallic shine: the silky powder with a chrome effect is reminiscent of liquid metal. Its innovative texture with maximum pigmentation and intense colour-dispersion is sure to make your eyes shine instantly. The unique 3D embossment turns this eyeshadow into an absolute highlight. Nine metallic nuances for every day, every mood, every style."

From left to right I got the following colours:  020 Gold n' Rose and 090 Nougat it Right

First Impression of the Liquid Metal Eyeshadows:

I really enjoyed my two new acquisitions.

And here is why:

• Both colours are absolutely lovely - a soft, flattering, pale rose-gold shade and a warm bronzy shade with soft gold undertones;

• I love the subtle shimmer designed to flatter rather than turning you into a glitter ball;

• the colours swatched beautifully, literally glided on, were of a buttery consistency and blend very easily:

• and lastly, when I tried when on my eye they were easy to apply and lasted for seven hours+ without a primer!

As they are so lovely buttery soft where is a bit of a fall out, so it is advisable to check the under-area for a bit of stray product - but it is easily cleaned up/brushed off - so no biggie (especially in view of the fantastic quality at a more than reasonable price).

Overall Verdict

I am super happy with my Catrice Liquid Metal Eyeshadows in 020 Gold n' Roses and Nougat it Right and will definitively expand my collection at the next opportunity!
